📖 Bible

This theme is for families who want the Bible words beside the games. You can skip it and still use every other theme. The English list is short: Bible, church, star, family, love, heart, friend, thank you, I love you, angel, prayer, and happy. Read the verse at the bottom first if that fits your home, then learn two of the words, not all twelve. Thank you and I love you are phrases, so say the whole phrase. Friend and family and star also appear in other themes. The sentence stays with the word. There is a separate stories page if you want Deb, Weebster, and Mocha in a longer reading.

Church here is the place. Love is the feeling word stored in the games, not a verb lesson. Heart is the word on the card. In English the body part and the feeling share the word, and the sentence uses glad so a child hears heart in a sentence. Prayer is the noun. The verse is King James Version, quoted because that translation is in the public domain. The line ends where verse 105 ends.

Try the game

The flashcards open with English on one side and Spanish on the other, which is the usual pair when you start from the home page.

A verse to read together

Read this aloud if it fits your home. These words are Psalm 119:105 in the King James Version, a public-domain English Bible.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalm 119:105, King James Version
