School words are already on the desk or in the bag. This page lists the English school words from the games, from pencil and glue to library and calculator. Empty the pencil case, put three items in a row, and match them to three lines on this page. Say the word, then the sentence, then put the item back. Do not label the whole room. A backpack can be the heavy one by the door. The book can be the one you are about to read. Stop after three so the child still wants to find the next one tomorrow.

Scissors is one tool and takes a plural verb in the sentence: the scissors cut. Ruler here is the straight tool, not a king. Globe is the round map of the earth. Whiteboard is one word. Calculator names the machine. The respelling is only for saying the English word clearly while a child is still learning to read it.
